In Telangana, at least two persons were feared dead and 13 others injured when a blast took place at the Gulf Oil Corporation limited on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The local police informed that nine of the injured have been admitted in a private Hospital in Jubilee Hills and four more have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Police and Disaster Mitigation authorities are making all out efforts to control fire that engulfed many parts of the factory after the blast. Though the cause for the blast is not known yet, initial reports suggested that it took place when some exploding materials were being shifted at the IDL Chemicals, a wing of the Gulf Oil Corporation. Meanwhile, tension prevailed outside the factory as family members of those affected, started protesting against the incident.
