19 April, New Delhi

BJP Sunday raised objection to the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s remarks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had took loan from the corporates to win last Lok Sabha elections.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the statement is insult of the massive mandate given by the people to the BJP and Gandhi should tender apology for his allegations.

Prasad also charged Rahul for what he termed as speaking a white lie on Land Acquisition Bill saying that amendment in the Land Bill has been brought to benefit the farmers.

He said, provisions have been made to provide four times compensation to farmers in case of acquiring lands for National Highways, Railways and others.

Prasad also said that Congress should answer to the people about alleged Land scam in Haryana and the alleged involvement of Robert Vadra in it.

Without naming, Prasad also took a dig at Rahul Gndhi’s recent sabbatical. He accused the previous UPA government of being corrupt and said, under the NDA rule scam India is becoming Transparent India.
