Centre helps States without any discrimination, says : PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, the Central Government has been helping the State Governments without any discrimination.

Addressing, a public rally at Mysuru this afternoon,  Modi accused the Congress of trying to divide the society. He called upon the people to work towards making an India which is just like what our freedom fighters had dreamt of.

Modi said, the people of Karnataka have to choose between a commission Government or a Government that works on Mission mode.

He came down heavily against the Congress Government in Karnataka, accusing it of taking commission before executing any project or programmes in the state. He charged that Congress Government is a roadblock in the way of speedy development and people must opt it out.

Listing out the programmes introduced by his Government, he stressed that Mudra Yojana has created three crore entrepreneurs, Jan Dhan Yojana has brought marginalised sections of the society into banking system and free electricity connection to several crore families has brought them out of 18th century life that they were leading even after 70 years of our Independence.

He called upon citizens to join hands with him in creating a new India by 2022, when each and every family will own a house and when youth will have opportunities to fulfil their aspirations.

Speaking about various development projects launched or inaugurated today in Mysuru, Prime Minister said that Hamsafar Express linking tourist destinations Mysuru in Karnataka with Udaipur in Rajasthan will promote tourism.

On Electrification of Bengaluru-Mysuru double line which was inaugurated today, he said, it was a long pending demand of the people.

The Prime Minister said, Six laning of National Highway between Bengaluru and Mysuru at a cost of 6400 crore rupees once functional will save commutation time.

He further added that the foundation stone laid today for modernisation of satellite railway station at Naganahalli near Mysuru will help plying of more trains.

Earlier in the day, Modi participated in Bhagavan Bahubali Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava in Shravanabelagola.

He also inaugurated the new steps carved at Vindhyagiri Hill that leads disciples to the top where monolithic statue of Bahubali is situated. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the Bahubali General Hospital.

Addressing the gathering at Shravanabelagola, the Prime Minister said saints and seers from our land have made it a tradition to serve society and steer them in a positive direction.

The strength of our society, he noted, is that we have always changed with the times and adapted well to new contexts. The Prime Minister noted that Bahubali who propagated non-violence was a social reformer who showed right direction to the humanity.

He further added that Mahamasthakabhisheka of Lord Bahubali that happens once in 12 years, inspires people since generations to stride on the right path. He appreciated the social service of Jain Math in Karnataka which has taken various social initiatives.

He informed that Ayushman Bharath programme announced by his Government will ensure health security to the poor and create a healthy society.
