Government of India has listed the Goods and Services Tax and the Real Estate Bills for consideration and passage in this week business of the Rajya Sabha.
The Business Advisory Committee has allotted a time of four hours for the GST Bill and two hours for Real Estate Bill in the house. The Whistle Blower Protection (Amendment), the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bills among others have also been listed in the business of the House for this week.
In the Lok Sabha, there are six bills in the legislative agenda for consideration and passing. These include the Industries (Regulation and Development) Amendment , the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) and the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bills.
The Lok Sabha could also take up discussion on drought situation in the country, price rise and India’s relations with neighbouring countries. The situation in Nepal and India-Nepal relations and price rise issues could also be taken up for discussion in the Rajya Sabha.
In Lok Sabha, the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts Bill 2015 is scheduled to be introduced today. The purpose of the Bill is to provide for the constitution of Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division in the High Courts for adjudicating commercial disputes of specified value and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Law Minister DV Sadananda Gowda will move the bill for consideration.
The Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Bill 2015, the Industries (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill 2015 and the Atomic Energy (Amendment) Bill 2015 is also scheduled to be introduced. Lok Sabha is also scheduled to take up the High Court and the Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill 2015, the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill 2015 and the Indian Trusts (Amendment) Bill 2015 for consideration and passing today.
In the Rajya Sabha, the Prevention of Corruption(Amendment) Bill 2013 is on the list for further consideration today. Two other bills, the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill 2015 and the Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill 2015 are also on the business list of Rajya Sabha today for consideration and passing.
