Congress accuses Modi govt of Rs 45,000 cr telecom scam

The Congress today accused the Narendra Modi government of indulging in a Rs 45,000 crore scam in the telecom sector.

Talking to reporters here, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala went on to say that the telecom scam aimed to help the industrialist friends of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.”PM Modi who used to say ‘Na khaoonga, Na khaane doonga’ yet again proved to be another false promise,” he added.

Surjewala said, “A massive telecom scam of Rs 45,000 crore is being buried under the carpet by the Modi government, who talks of transparency.”He alleged that this telecom scam aims to help the Modi government’s industrialists friends.

He said six telecom companies have been helped by Modi government by not levying them with a fine but trying to save them.””Why is Modi government not upholding findings of the CAG now, instead of stalling recovery of money?” Surjewala asked.
