IPL Cricket, Ashish Nehra’s 4 wickets for just 10 runs powered Chennai Super Kings to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 27 runs at Bengaluru Wednesday night. Chennai, first, compiled 181 for 8 after they were sent in to bat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Suresh Raina’s 32-ball 62 was the main highlight of Chennai’s batting. Opener Dwayne Smith and Faf du Plessis also made valuable contributions in the formidable total.
In reply, Bangalore could only make 154 in the allotted 20 overs courtesy Nehra’s burst of 4 wickets for 10 runs in 4 overs. He sent the entire top order packing, including skipper Virat Kohli who top scored with 51. Raina was adjudged man of the match. This was Bangalore’s third defeat in four games, while for Chennai, it was their fourth victory in 5 matches.
Earlier in another game, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs at Visakhapatnam. Today, Delhi Daredevils will take on Mumbai Indians at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. The match will begin at 8 PM.
