Kaskar, his two aides sent to 8-day police custody in extortion case

Iqbal Kaskar, the brother of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim and two others arrested by Thane Anti-Extortion Cell have been sent to police custody for eight days by Thane court. Iqbal was arrested last night in connection with an investigation into an extortion case. Two other accused had been arrested earlier.

Talking to media, Thane police commissioner Parambir Singh informed that Iqbal was arrested from his sister Haseena Parkar’s residence. Police said, Iqbal had been threatening builders on behalf of Dawood Ibrahim and was demanding huge extortion money. Many of these builders who are from Thane, Ulhasnagar, Dombivli had allegedly paid huge sums of extortion money to Iqbal.
