LOP in Odisha Assly requests govt to withdraw his security, red beacon

Leader of Opposition in Odisha Legislative Assembly Narasingha Mishra today requested the state government to withdraw the police escort facility provided to him.

In a letter to state Chief Secretary, Mishra said, “I do not require police escort during my tour neither within Bolangir nor outside the district.”

So, the police escort provided to him may be withdrawn.
The Congress leader also said that he was not in favour of using red beacon in the vehicle provided to the Leader of Opposition.

He said he was not using the red beacon in his vehicle.
The copy of the letter was also sent to Secretary Home and to the Secretary Commerce and Transport.
