Maharashtra Crosses Target of Opening 74 Lakh Bank Accounts Under PMJDY

Maharashtra crossed the target of opening 74 lakh bank accounts under Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojana. This financial inclusion not only empowered downtrodden and poor, but they have also empowered the Nation by depositing huge amount in their accounts.

Maharashtra has achieved 130 % target given under Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojana. After knowing benefits of bank accounts new account holders realised importance of savings.

Though the zero balance facility was given to Jandhan account holders they have deposited 700 crore rupees in their accounts in Maharashtra.
