National Investigation Agency (NIA) today arrested two persons in Jammu and Kashmir for providing logistic support to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Bahadur Ali.
Bahadur Ali was arrested by the NIA in July last year and a large quantity of incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered from him.
Ali had confessed that he was sent to India by Pakistan to create unrest in the state. As per the investigation, the two accused, who are residents of Kupwara, provided material and logistic support to Ali soon after his infiltration into Indian territory.
The NIA will be seeking their transit remand and will bring them to Delhi for further questioning.
