05 March, Patna
In Bihar, Nitish Kumar government has annulled 34 populist decisions
taken by former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
The state cabinet, which met in Patna Wednesday decided to cancel
the decisions taken by the Manjhi government during its last three
cabinet meetings on February 10, 18 and 19.
Principal Secretary Cabinet Coordination B Pradhan said, departments
have been asked if they find merit in any of the decisions taken by
Manjhi government, it could be proposed before the cabinet in future
by following proper procedures.
AIR Patna correspondent reports, Jeetan Ram Manjhi after demitting
office has been accusing Nitish Kumar of trying to reverse all his
decisions taken for the poor and others.
It is being seen as corollary to the feud between Manjhi and Chief
Minister Nitish Kumar . However, the cabinet has left the scope for
review of all the decisions and implementations of some of them based
on their vetting by the law and finance department.
There is a possibility that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar could
implement some of the major decisions taken by the Manjhi cabinet as
they have political implications.
