PM lays foundation stone of AIIMS and inaugurates revival of fertiliser plant in UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday laid the foundation stone of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and revival of fertilizer factory at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a public gathering on this occasion Prime Minister talked about the problems of farmers and the steps taken by the Union Government to solve it.

He expressed his firm commitment to bring change in lives of the farmers. Modi said that the Government has also cared for cane growers and said their pending cane prices are being paid. Prime Minister expressed the need for industrial revolution in East Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister said that the Union Government decided to provide the farmers as much urea they require.

The Government decided to revive the closed fertilizer factories like Gorakhpur, Barauni and sindari. Talking about AIIMS to be setup at Gorakhpur he said that this institute will help in studying encephalitis and its cure.

After his arrival, Prime Minister went to Gorakhnath Mandir first, where he unveiled the statue of Late Mahant Awaidyanath and talked to the saints present there. Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, J.P. Nadda, Aanath Kumar, Kalraj Mishra, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Anupriya Patel and Gorakhpur M.P. Yogi Adityanath also addressed the public meeting.
