Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised on providing employment and educatonal opportunities to the youth of Kerala.
Addressing a public rally at Thrissur in Kerala Modi said that efforts are being made for making India a manufacturing hub for the entire world.
The Prime Minister asserted that BJP has emerged as the “third force” in Kerala that will replace the two fronts led by Congress and CPI(M) in the next year’s Assembly elections. In the last local body election, the people of Kerala has proved it, he said.
Modi said Congress-led UDF and CPI(M)-led Left Front in the state are competing with each other to outsmart in corruption and other malpractices. He lauded the contribution of Keralites in IT field. He said, his government has launched a number of programme for the welfare of dalits in the country. In Kerala, it has benefited 2.25 lakh people, around 2,100 crore rupees has been distributed in Kerala itself.
The Prime Minister, is on his first visit to Kerala after assuming office. . Modi reached Kochi today where he was given a welcome by Governor Mr. P. Sadasivam, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, his cabinet colleagues, City Mayor and other prominent personalities.
The Prime Minister will tomorrow address a combined commanders’ conference in Kochi . He will also unveil former Chief Minister R. Sanker’s statue at Kollam and pay floral tributes to Sree Narayana Guru Mahasamadhi at Sivagiri, Varkala before returning to Delhi.
