National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday suggested the stone pelters, released under amnesty, to think about their career.
“My own belief as far as stone pelting is concerned, the stone pelters released under amnesty, must realise that the time has come that they must think of their career,” said the NC Chief here, while talking to reporters at the sidelines of a function.
Abdullah’s reaction came against the backdrop of incident of stone-pelting reported on Sunjuwan Military Station by some unidentified miscreants on early Friday morning.
“I don’t know whether they were same stone pelters who were released,” he said and added, “it is the government who has to show whether the stone pelters released were the one involved in that incident of stone pelting or they were the new one.”Dr Abdullah also said that the stone pelters besides thinking on their career must also realise that how they can take this state out of turmoil.
“No tourist will visit to the state if turmoil stays. People will continue to suffer and in the long run, the state will suffer,” he asserted.
