Once those who were close to Mulayam Singh Yadav, now have deserted him by joining hands with his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Expelled leaders and Rajya Sabha members Naresh Agarwal and Kironmay Nanda have openly revolted against Mulayam and they now refuse to accept him as their leader. “We accept that Netaji had made the party but now we cannot agree to everything he (Mulayam)wants,” said Naresh Agarwal.
“Jo baap apne bete ko party se nikaal sakta hai, wo humein nikaal de toh kaunsi badi cheez hai? Nayi cheez nahin hai. (When a father can expel his son then it is not so big that we have been expelled. It is nothing new),” said Naresh Agarwal to reporters here. He further said ,”It is unfortunate, Netaji’s step is totally unconstitutional. Now Akhilesh is our President and Netaji has no right to expels us.”
“Wo apne shubhchintakon se door ho rahe hain aur unke kareeb hain jo unko defame karna chahte hain. BJP ke nazdeek dikhana chahte hain (Some people want Netaji to keep away from his well wishers and give a message that he is close to BJP), he further said.
Another expelled leader and RS member Kironmay Nanda said, “Some people have misguided Netaji and hence he couldn’t think what was right and what was wrong.”
Meanwhile, the new Uttar Pradesh SP president Naresh Uttam, who was appointed by Akhikesh Yadav, took the charge at the state party office here this afternoon.
Uttam replaces Shivpal Singh Yadav, who was removed by the national delegate meet.
