Amidst talks for alliance between Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena for the forthcoming BMC polls, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray today said talks between the two parties were moving in positive direction.
Both the parties are engaged in marathon meetings to chalk out a seat sharing formula for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation polls scheduled next month.
He further said several tax exemptions for Mumbaikars were in fray. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, he said Mumbaikars bear the burden of all taxes and so in coming five years, efforts would be made to lessen the tax burden.
He announced that no property tax would be levied for flats with carpet area upto 500 sq feet and discounts for flats of larger sizes. Besides this, health services would also be free in municipal corporation run hospitals.
