Despite of defeat of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate in Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, party supremo Mayawati here said that Samajwadi Party and BSP alliance will be even stronger.
Addressing the media here at party office on Saturday, Ms Mayawati said that depressed over results of Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha bypolls Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to influence the Rajya Sabha elections in every way possible. She alleged that government machinery was misused to influence the elections to take revenge of defeat of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditryanath and deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. Speaking about June 2, 1995 guest house case, Ms Mayawati said that SP president Akhilesh Yadav was very young that time and he has no relevance with that case. But BJP has made the then Superintendent of Police (SP) who was directly involved in that case, chief of the police department. Ms Mayawati said that BJP tried to create differences in the new alliance between BSP and SP and for that they had made strategy to defeat BSP candidate in every possible way but alliance will be even stronger and outcomes will be more remarkable than results of Lok Sabha bypolls.
BSP president said that one MLA has breached the trust of party and he was suspended while in adverse situation BJP alliance party MLA Kailash Sonkar voted for BSP which is appreciable. She extended her gratitude to Congress and SP for their support in elections.
Ms Mayawati said that SP president Akhilesh should not have faith on Raja Bhiya who ditched him. She suggested Akhilesh to beware of Raja Bhaiya. She said that BSP will strengthen the party on booth level and give befitted reply to BJP in Lok Sabha elections.
