Three Border Security Force Jawans, who were on patrolling duty along the border with Pakistan at Attari in Amritsar sector were injured late Friday night when they were fired upon from across the fence at Daukey Border outpost. Troops also retaliated the fire.
This is the first such incident in the recent past in Punjab sector during which troops has been injured in firing from across the border. BSF is preparing to register protest with Pakistan Rangers at Commandant Level.
Inspector General of BSF, Punjab Frontier, Anil Paliwal has said that all three including the driver of the vehicle, in which Jawans were patrolling the area, have been hospitalised and are out of danger.
