Six Trinamool Congress MLAs of Tripura today formally extended their support to NDA’s Presidential election candidate Ram Nath Kovind.
Led by their legislative party leader Sudhir Roy Barman, the legislators presented a bouquet of flowers to Kovind at a meeting of the Presidential candidate with lawmakers of Assam here.
Kovind thanked the Trinamool Congress legislators for their support and assured to work for all-round development of all sections, without any discrimination.
Later talking to reporters, Barman said their decision to support Kovind was already announced by them and they remain firm on it. He, however, remained non-committal on joining the BJP at present.
