Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant has said that the youth of India will enable the country to leapfrog and drive through innovations and start-ups.
Addressing the 2nd plenary session of Youth Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Bengaluru Saturday, Kant said, young Indians must have the hunger and passion to push India to become a ten trillion dollar economy.
He said, the challenge for India is not only to find solutions for its one Billion population but also for the 7 billion people of the world. He said, India has achieved highest FDI inflow, while it is falling in rest of the countries across the world. He also asked the participant to try the BHIM App which was launched by the Government few days ago for cashless transactions.
Secretary, Overseas indian Affairs Dhyaneshwar Mulay said that Ministry of External Affairs is extremely sensitive and receptive towards the problem of Indian diaspora.
Briefing media after the 1st day of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Bengaluru today, Mulay said, all issues faced by the Non Resident Indians are being and will be taken up at various sessions of PBD and the suggestions will be incorporated in the policy document.
He said, for the first time in PBD, Ministry has introduced interactive session which is proving to be quite useful for participants. Mr Mulay said, this year in the PBD the paricipation is unprecedented. He said, PBD this year would be outcome oriented focusing on the welfare of Indian diaspora.
