HAL achieves milestone : Prototype of Naval variant of LCA Tejas pass test

The public sector aeronautics company HAL achieved a milestone on Saturday by successfully flying the second prototype of Naval variant of LCA-Tejas in Bengaluru.

The Chairman of HAL, T. Suvarna Raju informed that the complex landing gear design, which is significantly different from the Air Force version of LCA, made this flight possible.

The Carrier Compatibility technology demonstration including arrested landing and ski-Jump take off was initially tested at Shore Based test facility in Goa.

The Chairman said that the indigenous carrier borne fighter program is making steady headway.
