India offers promising opportunities for investors due to its demographic dividend, manufacturing capabilities and conducive business environment, said Piyush Goyal

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has said that India is an attractive investment destination for the world. At the Investors Round Table hosted by Consulate General of India in San Francisco and US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, Mr Goyal highlighted how India offers promising opportunities for investors, thanks to the unique combination of our demographic dividend, manufacturing capabilities, and conducive business environment.

The Minister Commerce Minister also visited Tesla’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Fremont in California. He said he is extremely delighted to see talented Indian engineers and finance professionals working at senior positions and contributing to Tesla’s remarkable journey to transform mobility. He also said proud to see the growing importance of Auto component suppliers from India in the Tesla EV supply chain. It is on its way to double its components imports from India.

Mr.  Goyal met his counterparts from South Korea and Singapore and held bilateral meetings with them in San Francisco. On the sidelines of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, he met South Korean Trade Minister Ahn Duk-Geun as well as Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong.

Union Minister for Commerce held bilateral meeting with United States Trade Representative  Katherine Tai, on the sidelines of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. He will also hold key bilateral meetings with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.Mr. Goyal is on a four-day visit to the United States.
