India’s Ricky Kej , Neela Vaswani bag Grammys

At the 57th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles ,two Indians , Ricky Kej and Neela Vaswani have been awarded.
Bengaluru-based musician Ricky Kej’s collaborative album ‘Winds of Samsara’ with African flautist Wouter Kellerman has won the best new age album award at the 57th Grammy Awards announced in Los Angeles.
A self-taught musician Kej, 33, has previously composed soundtracks for Kannada films. ‘Winds of Samsara’, with multiple collaborations, is his 14th studio album and refers to the cycle of life.
Neela Vaswani, won the trophy in the Best Children’s Album category for ” I am Malala:How one Girl Stood Up for Education and changed the World.” In the album, she had narrated the audio version of the book of the same name.
British crooner Sam Smith won four awards including Song of the Year and record of the year for his mega hit ‘Stay With Me’.
Pharrell Williams won best pop solo performance for a live version of ‘Happy,’ released in 2013. He also won best music video for the song as well as best urban contemporary album.
Singer Beck bagged the best rock album of the year honour for ‘Morning Phase’ at the 57th Grammy Awards
