President, Vice President and PM extend greetings on sacred occasion of World famous Jagannath Rath Yatra

Pesident Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress presidenet Mallikarjuna Khardge have extended greetings to devotees in India and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra which began in Puri tody.

In a post on X Presidenet Murmru said that the soulful occasion marked the union of the devotee and the Divine is “truly unique.”
President Murmu said that it is a popular belief that during the grand procession, Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, along with Chakraraj Sudarshan, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, comes out to meet devotees. She wished that the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath bring happiness, peace and prosperity to the country and its people.
The President expressed hope for the country’s continued progress and well-being. “I pray that, by the grace of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, the happiness and prosperity of our country and its people continue to flourish. Jai Jagannath!” she added.
Vice President C P Radhakrishnan said the Rath Yatra reflects the values of faith, devotion, equality and collective harmony, and celebrates India’s rich civilisational heritage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the Rath Yatra as a symbol of India’s timeless spiritual and cultural traditions. He said the festival embodies humility, collective participation and selfless service, and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all.
The Prime Minister prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all. “May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless everyone with good health, happiness and prosperity. May He give us strength for all our endeavours and deepen the spirit of togetherness in our society. Jai Jagannath!” he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra represents faith, trust and devotion, and preserves India’s rich cultural heritage. He prayed for the happiness and well-being of everyone.
Congress President Mallikarjun also extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra and expressed hope that the festival would bring harmony, peace and prosperity to the country.
