India Defeat Pakistan 4-3 to Enter Men’s Hockey Final at Asian Games

India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan 4-3 to enter the final of the men’s hockey competition at the Asian Games in Kakamigahara, Japan today.
Captain Harmanpreet converted two perfectly executed penalty corners in the 5th and 13th minutes, while Sukhjeet Singh scored a field goal in the 23rd minute. Abhishek scored the winning goal for India from a field play in the final minute of the game.
Defending champions India will take on the winner of the second semifinal between South Korea and Malaysia in the final on Saturday.
The women’s Hockey team will also face China in the final tomorrow. It is the first time since 1998 that both the Indian teams will be involved in Asian Games Hockey finals at the same edition of the Games.
