Ayodhya, November 07
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan today attended the grand tenth Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya. The annual event has been organised every year on the occasion of Chhoti Diwali since Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2017. During this year’s celebrations, more than 30 Lakh earthen lamps illuminated on the 56 ghats of the sacred Saryu River. Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and thousands of devotees from India and abroad were present on the occasion.
Appreciating Ayodhya’s spiritual heritage and modern development, the Vice President said that the holy city is rapidly transforming into a grand spiritual destination while preserving its divine legacy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the Saryu Aarti and while addressing the gathering, he said that Lord Shri Ram represents India’s self-respect and that is why Ayodhya has been recognised in the scriptures as the foremost among the seven sacred cities, known as Sapta Puri.
A spectacular laser show, along with live cultural performances, was organised at Ram Ki Paidi. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple complex was also illuminated with one lakh earthen lamps. Earlier, at Ram Katha Park, Vice President C.P.
