Bihar power tussle :BJP plays safe , says decision on support during floor test

BJP today said it will decide whom to support in Bihar on the floor of assembly when trial of strength takes place. The statement came in the wake of current political situation in Bihar where there is power tussle between JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar and Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi for the top post.
Kumar is calming the support of majority of party legislators and also going to meet President Pranab Mukherjee this evening along with MLAs supporting him.
Briefing media persons in New Delhi, BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain rejected JD(U) allegation that the BJP is behind the current political crisis. He said it is the internal affair of the JD(U) and BJP has nothing to do with it.

Hussain also questioned JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar ‘s move to parade the MLAs, supporting him, in front of President saying when the state Governor is yet to take a call on the issue what was the need to approach the President.
Alleging that Kumar’s hunger for power is responsible for the current political crisis in the state,BJP leader said that Manjhi should be given chance to prove the majority on the floor of the house and Nitish Kumar should wait till 20th of this month when state assembly session starts.
The BJP does not want to show itself as a destabilizing force in this episode and the party leadership is keeping a close watch on the situation, according to top party sources.
