AP –Telangana CMs agree to Centre’s mediation for sharing water

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministers on Saturday agreed in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan that to protect the standing crops while keeping in view the interests of people of the two states and take Centre’s help to share water for Kharif in future.

Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have agreed not to allow anyone including police and political leaders on to the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.

The irrigation ministers of the two Telugu states Harish Rao and Umamaheswara Rao told reporters that the decision has been taken to protect the standing crops and chief engineers of the two states would monitor the release of water.
