Arrival Of New Crop, Release Of Seized Pulses To Moderate Prices: Govt

Union Government today said the arrival of new crop and release of pulses seized under anti-hoarding operations will help in moderating the prices of pulses further.
Retail prices of pulses have registered declining trends as per market reports received from the states. ”Release of pulses seized under de-hoarding operations is being expedited. Arrival of new crop has also started. This will help to moderate prices further,” an official statement said.
The government, while giving details about pulses wise price variation over the week for commodities like Tur/ Arhar Dal, Urad Dal, Moong Dal and Gram Dal said the prices of the pulses have shown downward trend in past one week.
According to the statement, Tur/ Arhar Dal Price yesterday was Rs 152.11 per kg while last week it was Rs 157.77 per kg. Urad Dal Price was Rs 141.28 per kg while last week it was Rs 150.43 per kg, Moong Dal Price was Rs 108.45 per kg in comparison with last week’ Rs 110.17 per kg and Gram Dal Price yesterday was Rs 69.6 per kg while last week it was Rs 69.66.
