PM dedicates Centre for Nano Science Engineering at IIS in Bengaluru to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated to the nation, the Centre for Nano Science Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru Wednesday .
The sophisticated cluster of micro and nano tech laboratories is designed to provide research and technology leadership in the areas of nano-electronics and nano-technology. The Centre is slated to play a crucial role in realising Make in India initiative of Government of India by supporting the start-ups.
The Prime Minister also unveiled the foundation stone for the Centre for Brain Research at Indian Institute of Science campus. During the day, the Prime Minister also visited the Institute for stem cell Research at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in the city.
He interacted with scientists in the centre about research facilities on stem cells in the Centre and efforts going on to find cure to sickle cell anemia using gene therapy.
The Prime Minister asked Scientists in the Centre to encourage school children to choose scientific research activities as their career. Union Ministers Sadananda Gowda, Shri Ananth Kumar, and Dharmendra Pradhan were present on these occasions.
