Assam Spl. TADA Court Grants Bail To Jailed ULFA Leader Anup Chetia

Special TADA court in Assam has granted bail to jailed ULFA leader Anup Chetia in two cases in Guwahati.

Altogether, nine cases were registered by police against the General Secretary of the outfit. The court granted bail on 5 lakh rupees bonds.

Assam Home Commissioner has already said that state government has no objection in granting bail to him. Chetia has expressed his desire to be a part of ongoing peace talks with the Centre.

Meanwhile, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shanker said in Guwahati that he favour participation of ULFA Chief Paresh Baruah in peace process. He also met Anup Chetia in jail.
