Bihar Power Tussle : BJP to support Chief Minister Manjhi during trust vote Friday

BJP has decided to support Manjhi government during the trust vote in Bihar tomorrow. Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said that the decision was taken at the meeting of party legislators today.
Modi also said that the party legislators will vote in support of the Manjhi government.
Meanwhile, the Patna High Court today barred four JD (U) rebel legislators from casting their vote during the trust vote tomorrow in the Bihar assembly. These rebel MLAs had moved the Court to seek permission to take part in the floor test. Earlier, the Bihar Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary has declared Janta Dal (U) as the main Opposition Party in Assembly. Senior JD (U) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been made Opposition leader in place of Nand Kishore Yadav of BJP in the Assembly.
The Speaker decided that all Janta Dal (U) MLAs including those with Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi camp would sit in the Opposition, while the Chief Minister and his ministerial colleagues would sit on the treasury bench. The Manjhi government will seek a trust vote tomorrow. The Speaker said that he has taken the decision as JD(U) has maximum number of legislators in comparison to BJP. BJP legislators protested in front of the Speaker’s chamber against the decision.
Meanwhile the Janata Dal (United) and BJP accused each other of being responsible for the current political crisis in Bihar.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav alleged that the NDA Government has destabilized the political situation in the state with an aim to impose President’s rule.
Sharad Yadav targeted Bihar Governor for allegedly violating the Constitutional norms during the ongoing political crisis. He claimed that his party is united and enjoying support of 130 MLAs and will show its strength on the floor of Bihar Assembly tomorrow.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain rejected JD(U) leader allegation that his party is behind the current political crisis and added that his party has nothing to do with it. He also attacked Bihar Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary for granting the status Opposition Party to JD (U) in the state Assembly.
