Kohli Joins Sehwag, Gambhir To Support Jaitley

After Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, Test skipper Virat Kohli Monday voiced his support for former Delhi and District Cricket Association president and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is facing allegations of corruption under his regime in the city cricket body.
”Grateful to have @arunjaitley ji as the president of our association He has always wanted to improve the game & help cricketers in everyway,” Kohli wrote in a tweet.
Jaitley, who headed DDCA for 13 years till 2013, has been accused of corruption by the Delhi Government during his tenure.
Several other Delhi cricketers including India opener Shikhar Dhawan, pacer Ishant Sharma and veteran batter Mithun Manhas also lent their support for Jaitley.
”@arunjaitley Ji always ensured top facilities for Delhi cricketers and players like me, from humble background always benefited under him,” wrote Dhawan.
Ishant, on his part said, ”@arunjaitley ji has always been helpful, fair and kind in all my interactions with him #DDCA.”
Manhas, who like Sehwag shifted out of Delhi cricket after 18 seasons to represent Jammu & Kashmir this season, said, ”It’s appalling to see @arunjaitley Ji ‘s name being dragged #DDCA Infact he was always there for the players and cricket.”
Earlier, yesterday Gambhir and Sehwag trashed all the allegations of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party.
“Grossly inappropriate 2 blame @arunjaitley ji 4 corruption in DDCA. He was d one who got Delhi a proper stadium widout taxpayer’s money. Appalling to note some ex-players blame @arunjaitley ji for all that’s wrong in DDCA. Whereas dey enjoyed plum posts in DDCA coz of him,” tweeted Gambhir.
Sehwag, who switched loyalties to Haryana from Delhi and retired from international cricket earlier this year, lauded Jaitley for being there for players.
“In my time with DDCA if I ever came to know of any ‘surprising’ selection of a player, all I needed to do was to inform @arunjaitley,” Sehwag tweeted.
“And @arunjaitley Ji would immediately ensure correction and justice for the deserving players at #DDCA…Was a nightmare to speak to some others at DDCA but @arunjaitley ji was always available for players in case of any difficulty at any time,” he added.
