Prelude TO Assembly Polls : AIADMK Holding Important Party Meeting Thursday

As a prelude to the 2016 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu with preparations by various political parties in the state in full-swing, the General Council and the Executive Committee meeting of the ruling AIADMK will be held here tomorrow.

The General Council and Executive Committee are the highest decision making bodies of the party headed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and General Secretary J Jayalalithaa.

The meeting, will be attended by Ms Jayalalithaa and is expected to work out plans to ensure that the party wins a massive victory again as it did in the 2014 Parliamentary elections. It had won 37 of the 39 Lok Sabha seats..

With just a few months left for the Assembly polls, tomorrow’s meeting assume significance as strategies, including possible alliance, are expected to be discussed.

Apart from adopting several resolutions, the meeting is also to enthuse the party cadre , who are morally down after the recent devastating rains and floods that ravaged the state.
