Swine Flu claimed third life in Odisha

Swine flu claimed one more life in Odisha Sunday taking the total casualty to three during this season. State Health department official here confirmed the death of a 42-year-old man from Balasore who was admitted at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar with Swine Flu positive . He was the third victim of the Swine flu in the state during the season. Earlier on February 1 last, a patientfrom Khurda district who was admitted at the SCB MedicalCollege and Hospital at Cuttack in a serious condition diedof Swine flu. The second casualty was reported from a private hospital in this capital city when a HAL employee from Koraput whowas tested H1N1 positive died at the hospital on February 12 last. All the three cases were reported in February. State Health Department official sources said so far eleven people have been tested positive with the H1N1 virusout of 71 swab tests conducted this year. Sources said all the three government run medicalcolleges and district headquarter hospital are well equipped with the facilities to treat and handle the swine flu patents.
