Controversial Film Marahti Tiger will be screened in Tent tomorrow

Marathi Tigers Controversial Marahti Movie Makers have decided to screen the movie in a tent from tomorrow –Friday at Shinoli village on Maharashtra border area, about 18 km from here.

Team of movie makers has come to this conclusion after no theatres in Karnataka border showed interest in screening the movie having content of provoking Kannada linguistics.

Sources said, Belagavi theater owners refused to screen the movie and team has arranged screening the movie in a tent using projector at Shinoli of Changad taluk in Kolhapur district. Tent has been installed in around acres area with 500 seating capacity.

Movie will be releasing across Maharashtra tomorrow in cinema theatres and simultaneously at Shinoli for Marathi linguistics in Karnataka border.

Various Kannada organizations have opposed screening of the movie in Karnataka because of its controversial subject. According to Kannada organizations movie spreads enmity between Kannada and Marathi speaking people by provoking them emotionally.

Kannada Action Committee (Kannada Kriya samithi) district President Ashok Chandharagi, in a release here today said that the movie releasing ahead of ZP and TP elections, turned boon for MES candidates in Belagavi taluk. MES leaders are leaving no stone unturned to take advantage of anti-Karnataka mood of Marathi linguistics. Border dispute is one of the emotional issues for Marathi linguistics and MES is reaping it.

MES leaders and candidates are offering free arrangements and free movie ticket to the voters to watch movie, He said in his release.

Ashok Chandhargi alleged MES leaders are misusing Maratha Tigers movie for political gain by provoking Marathi linguistics emotionally based on language. Meanwhile, he appreciated the initiatives taken by district administration and local police department in maintaining cordial atmosphere among both linguistics.
