VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi surrenders in court over Muzaffarnagar riots; granted bail

Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi Thursday surrendered in the court in connection with 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots and was later granted bail.

Earlier, the court had issued a bailable warrant against the leader for not appearing in the court for the past several times.

Sources said the court granted bail to the VHP leader on a personal bond of Rs 20,000.

Sadhvi has been charged with sections 147,148,188 and 153(A) of the IPC in the court of ACJM-2 Sitaram for giving provocative speeches during the Muzaffarnagar riots.
