Fire destroys over 200 tonnes of cotton stored in Odisha mill

A major fire in the Samaleswari Cotton Mill near Patnagarh area in Bolangir district destroyed cotton worth over crores of rupees.

Sources said the blaze engulfed the cotton mill, located in Chacherabenga under Belpara block late last night, in which over 200 tonnes of cotton stored in the mill were reduced to ashes.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.Fire tenders form the nearby areas rushed to the mill and doused the flames.
