CM Naveen announces new front of BJD On Biju Patnaik’s birth centenary

Biju Janata Dal supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Saturday announced the formation of a socio cultural front of the party while paying tribute to great legendary leader Biju Patnaik on his birth centenary.
Addressing a meeting organised by the party to celebrate birth centenary of Biju Patnaik here, Patnaik said new front will be tribute to Biju Babu who had joined the politics not for the power but to serve the people and the state.
He said the front will fight against the superstition and work for spreading social values like voluntary blood donation, service to the sick and elderly person in each village, panchayat, ward and towns.
It would also create awareness on women education, child rights and dedicate itself for the promotion of local art and culture. This apart, the socio cultural front will help the people during the natural calamity.
The Chief Minister said Biju Babu went beyond the limits of regional and national boundaries to reach international heights and so the people irrespective of their party, were celebrating the birth centenary across the state, country and abroad in a grand scale.
The BJD supremo described Biju babu as a big institution, an idea in continuity and an idea of realising the dream of progress and prosperity. He was also an idea of Odia self esteem, selfless service and empowerment, Patnaik said, adding, He is an idea that every Odia wants to follow.
Patnaik added that Biju Babu while in national politics had paid respect to the confidence of the poor people and has considered the youth force as the biggest asset and knew that the youth force could change the fate of Odisha.
The Chief Minister announced that from today onwards, Biju Babus birth centenary will be observed in every village in the state by involving people from all walks of life.BM
