16 Killed in Bus Explosion In Pakistan

In Pakistan, at least 16 people were killed and 30 others injured in a bomb blast in country’s Peshawar city Wednesday. The powerful bomb ripped through a private bus carrying government employees. According to a senior Peshawar police official about 50 people were on board the bus at the time of the explosion.

The bomb was placed inside the bus was exploded when the packed vehicle reached Peshawar from Mardan. Two women and a child were among the dead.The injured were shifted to Lady reading hospital.The security forces and police cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation.

Peshawar has seen scores of attacks on civilians as well as law enforcement personnel in the past.The city is also the home to the XI Corps, an administrative corp of the Pakistan Army.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack.
