AIBEA calls for All India Strike on May 25

All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has called a nation-wide strike on May 25 in support of their demands.

The demands includes, make banking a fundamental right, strengthen public sector banks to strengthen National Economy, do not privatise public sector banks, give adequate capital to PSBs, take stringent measures to recover bad loans in Banks, Declare willful defaultof bank loan as criminal offence, publish the list of bank loan defaulters, Parliamentary probe into Mallya episode and punish those responsible, Fix accountability for bad loans and punish the guilty and do not privatise IDBI Bank.

AIBEA General Secretary C H Venkatachalam said here that the Office Bearers of the Association had met recently and decided that an agitational programmes including Nation-wide strike on May 25 has to be launched to build up a strong campaign and struggle.

Venkatachalam said a Dharna will be held by General Council Members before Parliament on April 26 and state level dharna and submission of Memorandums to Governor and Chief Minister will be on May 11.
