Ranji : Karnataka Thrash Mumbai by 112 Runs To Enter Final

Defending champions Karnataka thrashed Mumbai by 112 runs to enter the final of the Ranji trophy for the 14th time here Saturday.

Chasing a massive target of 445, 40-time champions Mumbai were bowled out for 332 about an hour into the fourth day of the semi-final today.

Resuming at their overnight score of 277 for six, Mumbai failed to take the fight to the opposition. For the hosts, seamer Abhimanyu Mithun was the star performer picking four wickets after having scored 89 in Karnataka’s second innings.

Karnataka will now await the winners of the other ongoing semi final between Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra being played at the Eden gardens at Kolkata. The final will be played at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai from March 8 to 12.
