Joshna Chinappa falters at final hurdle in HKFC squash tourney

India’s leading women’s squash player Joshna Chinappa’s hopes of securing a 12th PSA title were crushed after losing a pulsating finale to top seed Joelle King in the HKFC International here on Saturday.

Despite producing a spirited performance, the 29-year-old went down 11-9, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8 against the New Zealander in the summit clash.

King had also ended sixth seed Dipika Pallikal’s campaign in the quarterfinal round of the USD 25,000 event.
