Madhavan to be goodwill ambassador for LEPRA India

Bollywood actor R Madhavan has been signed as the goodwill ambassador for LEPRA India that fights against leprosy.

Madhavan took to Twitter to announce his association with the non-profit organisation. “I am proud to be a #goodwillambassador for @LEPRAIndia spreading the word that leprosy is curable and no 1 needs to live with it.”

Further spreading awareness about the ailment, he tweeted, “Leprosy can cause disability, poverty and prejudice when there’s no need! #Leprosyiscurable. Join me in my #fight with @LEPRAIndia to #beatleprosy! It can be cured and treatment is #free! http://www.leprasociety.org/”

R Madhavan was last seen in ‘Saala Khadoos’ which also released in Tamil as ‘Irrudi Suttru’.
