Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that NDA government has become synonymous with development. He said his government is fully dedicated to the cause of poor people.
Addressing a huge rally at Balasore in Odisha Thursday, he said that the poor people need the government more than anybody else. The Prime Minister said, fruits of developments should reach everybody.
Comparing development in BJP ruled states and the states ruled by opposition parties, Modi said while western part of the country is more developed, eastern states such as Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha are lagging behind in economic development.
The prime minister said his government stands for balanced development of the country. The prime minister said his government does not want any state or any region in the country to be devoid of development and change. He said the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre has taken special steps towards eradicating poverty.
The rally is part of a series of meetings being organised throughout the country to mark the completion of two years of BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. Mr Modi said a large turnout at the rally despite scorching heat proves that even after 2 years, peoples’ love for his government is intact.
Stressing that peoples’ mindset about gender equality must change, Modi said he understands the pain for those mothers who do not get proper support and help during child birth.
He said his government wants to provide best facilities for them. About the anganwadi system in the country, Modi said it is best for the poor children’s development at grass root level. He said, his government has initiated movement in the country to protect and empower girl child.
