‘Udta Punjab’ attracts unexpected crowd of cine lovers in Punjab

‘Udta Punjab,’ a film mired in controversy due to its main theme on the problem of drugs in Punjab, is heading to compete with the films of Bollywood bigwigs like Salman Khan and other big names in the cine industry.
All the multi-plexes in the four big malls including Curo, Sarbplex, PVR and Big cinema, were housefull today as were witnessed yesterday when the film was released for screening.
Cine goers did not find any thing wrong in the film which could invite any kind of objection. Rather they said that the film was based on the problem of drugs in the state which had been eating the upcoming youth of the state.
They said the state government should rather extend its gratitude to the film makers who highlighted the dark side of the drugs ruining the youth of the state. The managers of the theaters said the movie will definitely leave a positive impact on the people of the state to work in unison to protect youth power of the state which had indulged in drugs.
According to sources, no one from the SAD or its other wings came out in protest against the showing of the movie.
Mean while the police have made stringent arrangements for the security of the Malls housing theaters to show the movie simultaneously.
