One More Swine Flu Death Reported In Odisha taking toll to 4

Swine Flu has claimed one more life in Odisha Sunday, taking the total death toll in H1N1 related deaths to four in the state.
The deceased was a lady from Puri district and was admitted in a Private Hospital , Bhubaneswar for treatment, State Health Department office.
According to Health Department Sources, Since January , this year as many as 13 confirmed Swine Flu positive cases have been identified in the state out of the 87 blood samples.
The sources also said that people should not be panic as health officials are maintaining a close watch on this issue. Sufficient stock of personal protective equipment and diagnostic facilities are available at all Government Medical Colleges and District level hospitals, it said

The Health Officials advised people to seek immediate medical treatment in case of high fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain and internal and external bleeding.
Meanwhile according to reports from Maharashtra , Swine Flu has claimed twelve more lives in the state in 24 hours taking the number of diseases –related deaths to 143 from January this year.
Maharashtra health department has said that a total of 100 new cases of swine flu were reported since yesterday taking the total number of cases registered to 1735 this year. Around 397 patients are being treated at various hospitals across the state while 41 patients are currently on ventilator support.
On the other hand, around 130 patients were released from different hospitals in the state yesterday after they completely recovered from the disease. The state health department has stated that a total of 1195 patients were discharged since the beginning of 2015 after their recovery. It also stated that till date, a total of 611 cases of H1N1 virus were diagnosed in Mumbai followed by 548 H1N1 infected patients in Pune while the total number of positive cases in Nagpur stands at 286.
The state health department has sounded alert following the untimely rain and sudden change in weather since Saturday.
