Dalmiya Returns As BCCI President, Anurag New Secretary

Jagmohan Dalmiya has been elected as the BCCI President unopposed at the
Elections held for the top post of Board Monday along with the Annual General Meeting in Chennai.

Joint Secretary BCCI, Anurag Thakur is the new Secretary of BCCI. Thakur defeated  Sanjaya Patel in the election.

Similarly, Anirudha Choudhyry has been elected as the Treasurer of BCCI.

Dalmiya , at present President , West Bengal Cricket Association , returned as BCCI President after more than a decade. He is emerging as the consensus candidate from N Srinivasan’s camp. He was the lone candidate for the coveted post.

The road for Dalmiya was cleared after another former President Sharad Pawar failed to get a proposer from East zone, prompting him to pull out of the race ahead of today’s meeting.
