Opposition parties today hit out at VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi for her alleged remarks that Hindus should boycott movies by Shahrukh, Aamir and Salman Khan. She accused the three Khans of promoting love jihad.

Congress leader Pramod Tewari said that art and culture should not be linked with religion and must be kept away from communalism.

JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav said, the NDA government should clear its stand on such statements. He alleged that the Prime Minister is not able to control his party affiliates.

On the other hand, Union Minister and BJP leader Uma Bharati said, there is no need to give importance to such statements.

Sadhvi Prachi had made the statement at a VHP event in Dehradun recently.
