Wimbledon: Sania-Hingis crash out in quarters

Indian ace tennis star Sania Mirza and her doubles Swiss counterpart Martina Hingis were eliminated out of quarter-finals of Wimbledon hereThursday.

The Indo-Swiss duo lost to Hungarian-Kazakhstani pair Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova 2-6, 4-6.

The defending champions lost the first set 2-6, making too many unforced errors.

They improved in the second set and had three break points in the third game, but failed to convert the set into winning, as Babos and Shvedoka took a 5-1 lead.

They fought back to win the next three games, but their opponents out played to win the second set 4-6.
